Changes at Frampton Surgery

Dr Charles Buckley’s retirement

After 35 years of service, Dr Charles will be retiring in April. He has seen and treated thousands of patients and worked tirelessly with many organisations and NHS boards to improve NHS service in Gloucestershire. We appreciate all his hard work over the years and we want to wish him every success for his retirement.

Our new partnership team

Frampton Surgery has now become part of a family of three general practices known as the Frampton & Stonehouse Practice Group. The day-to-day running of the surgery is now shared with the same partnership team as High Street Medical Centre and Regent Street Surgery in Stonehouse. The decision to work together was a proactive step; joining forces is a way to build resilience for local practices and secure and maintain excellent services for our patients. Changes to the running of the practice will be kept to a minimum and are mostly behind the scenes.

We have a mixture of face-to-face and telephone appointments available for patients and we have asked reception staff to respectfully ask for a brief description of the reason for each request. Patient confidentiality will be strictly observed. This will enable more accurate matching of our service to the patient’s needs.

In line with NHS guidelines, we are trying to reduce the quantity of medication that patients receive on each prescription. If you are concerned about your medication, please ask to see our clinical pharmacist to discuss it. If you pay for your medication we will soon be able to take card payments.

Please order your medication 5-7 days before you will run out so that we have enough time to prepare your prescription. If possible use our online service.
