Welcome to Frampton Surgery

COVID-19 News:

Wed, 02/12/20 - Following the announcement that a covid vaccine has passed the regulatory tests there is a lot of work underway to get ready for the roll out of the vaccine. We are awaiting further information but when patients become eligible for the vaccine we will make contact to offer appointments.

Mon, 16/11/20

We are please to announce that we have made some changes to the surgery to make the building more covid secure. There is a screen at reception and the desk in the waiting room has been blocked off.

All prescriptions are to be collected from the main reception to protect patients from weather.

Mon, 02/11/20 - Following the Prime Minister's announcement of a full lockdown in England (starting on Thursday, 05/11/20), the practice wanted to assure patients that we remain open and able to see patients where appropriate. Please note that, in line with national guidelines, the practice will continue to operate a telephone triage service for urgent on-the-day issues, as well as offering pre-booked telephone appointments for routine matters. Where a clinician feels it is appropriate, a face-to-face appointment may also be offered.

Other News:

Flu update - patients aged 50-64 years

Tues, 01/12/20 - The practice is able to offer the flu vaccination to patients from 1 December. Letters have been sent out to eligible patients to call the surgery on 01452 740213 to book into one of the 2 flu clinics on either Thursday 10 December or Sunday 13 December. Our clinical team will also offer the vaccination to any eligible patient when they are in the surgery for appointments.

Update on Short-Term Postponement of Routine Blood Tests

Wed, 04/11/20 - The practice has been advised that we are now permitted to resume routine blood tests for patients, following the resolution of an ongoing regional issue. Please bear with us as we work through our list of patients requiring a blood test, as it may take us a short period to catch up on these. We are creating extra capacity to achieve this as soon as possible, but again thank patients for their understanding on this issue, which was entirely beyond our control.

Telephone Access

Mon, 16/11/20 - we have created a telephone answering hub within the practice. This allows us to ensure that all calls are dealt with in a confidential environment and the team are dedicated to answering the phones.

Wed, 28/10/20 - Due to the continuing increased demand to access the practice by telephone, we are aware that at times it can be hard to get through. Please be assured that the lines are manned all day, and we have systems in place to create extra capacity at peak times. We are recruiting additional staff to help meet the increase winter demand. At times calls may be transferred to our sister practice, who are equipped to assist with most queries. We thank patients for their ongoing understanding on this issue.

Mon, 12/10/20 - We are aware that a number of patients have reported issues with getting through to practice by telephone. To simplify matters, we have merged all previous numbers to the single main telephone number (01452 740213). All previous numbers have been diverted, but you may wish to update your records for the future.

Flu Vaccinations

Tue, 06/10/20 - Seasonal Flu Vaccinations for overs 65s and those patients aged under 65 with a chronic condition are now available. Eligible patients should have received an invitation letter from the practice, but if you are unsure whether you are eligible or not, please call the practice to discuss.

We anticipate an expansion to the eligibility criteria to include those patients aged 50-64, but await national instruction on when this can commence. Please check back for updates on this issue.
