 Welcome to Frampton Surgery

NEWS FEED

COVID-19 News:

Weds, 10/03/2021 -  Invites have now been sent out to all patients in Group 6 to receive their first vaccination. We have also started to send invites and give the second doses to the first cohort of patients that received their first dose at the beginning of the vaccine roll out.

In addition to the invites being sent by the surgery patients may receive letters and text messages centrally from the NHS. The links provided in the letters and texts are for the large mass vaccination sites and community pharmacies. This is to increase the options for patients of where they receive the vaccination. It is patient choice and you will be invited by the surgery automatically when you are eligible and we have clinics available.

We are working through the eligible list as guided by the government and the JCVI. For further information on the eligibility list and when you might receive your invitation for vaccination please visit www.gov.uk

Thurs, 18/02/2021 -  The government target of vaccinating all patients aged over 65, health and social care workers, patients in care homes and the staff and patients in the clinical extremely vulnerable group was met with great success. Over 1,300 Frampton patients have now received the first Covid vaccination. Uptake has been great and we hope to continue as we work through all patient groups.

Although we are not holding any clinics this week we have started to send invites out to our patients in the Group 6 category for Covid vaccination. Across our PCN (Primary Care Network) this is a very large cohort of patients. Due to the number of vaccines being delivered for the clinics next week we are not able to offer an appointment to all patients in the cohort. At present invites have gone to anyone aged over 50 in group 6. As soon as we receive confirmation of vaccine delivery further clinics will be arranged to allow us send out any remaining invites. There will be enough vaccine for all patients but we do have to be patient when it comes to supply.

Thurs, 11/02/2021 - All patients aged over 65 and those that are in the clinically extremely vulnerable group should have now received an invite for their Covid vaccination. If you think you have been missed please call the reception team on 01452 740213 and they will get you booked in. There are still appointments available for the clinic on Saturday 13 February at Beeches Green.

We are awaiting approval from the CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) and confirmation of vaccine delivery before we can start inviting the group 6 patients - this is the group of patients aged 16-64 years that have underlying health conditions and therefore increases their risk of becoming severely unwell if they were to contract Covid. As soon as we are given the green light and have clinics invites will be sent.

Mon, 08/02/2021 - Covid vaccination invites have gone out to our patients aged 68 and above. If you are aged 68 and over or classed as clinically extremely vulnerable and have not had an invite please call the surgery and we can get an appointment booked in.

Fri, 05/02/2021 - All patients aged over 70, health and social care workers and any Clinically Extremely Vulnerable patients should have received an invite to book their Covid vaccination. If you are in one of these groups and you think you may have been missed please call the surgery and our reception team will be able to check and if you are eligible and book you an appointment.

Mon, 25/01/2021 - All patients aged 75 and over should have received their first invitation to receive a covid vaccination. We have vaccinated all of our care home residents and we have completed the first stage of home visits to ensure our vulnerable, housebound patients have received the first dose of the vaccine. We will continue to arrange visits to any remaining housebound patients.

We are using an new more time efficient system for booking covid vaccinations. If you have a smart phone you will receive a text message with a link to book your vaccination appointment. Please do not worry if you do not have a smart phone as we will contact you to book the appointment.

If you are a frontline health and social care worker and have not received an invite to receive your first vaccination please contact the surgery. We will update the system to show you are a frontline worker and you will be included in the next invite.

Tues, 19/01/2021 - All patients aged 77 and over have been contacted to book appointments for covid vaccinations. We are awaiting confirmation of the next clinic dates. Once confirmed we will contact all patients aged 75 and above to offer appointments. We will also contact any health and social care workers. If you are a frontline health and social care worker please let us know so that we can add you to the list of patients to call. We will also try to contact any patients we were unsuccessful in speaking to previously to ensure that everyone is offered an appointment for the vaccine.

Tues, 05/01/2021 - The rollout of the Covid vaccinations has begun. All patients aged over 80 years are in the process of being contacted and offered appointments to receive the vaccination. Due to the size of the vaccination programme we are not able to do this at the surgery at the moment. Covid vaccination appointments will be held at Beeches Green Health Centre site. House bound patients that are unable to attend an appointment will be contacted by our colleagues from Gloucestershire Health and Care trust. Once further supply of vaccine delivery are confirmed further clinics will be arranged to offer to eligible patients as per government guidance. Please be patient with us and please be assured that we will contact you when you are eligible for the vaccination. We are working closely with our commissioners and other surgeries in the local area to ensure we get the vaccine administered to as many patients as possible.

Wed, 02/12/20 - Following the announcement that a covid vaccine has passed the regulatory tests there is a lot of work underway to get ready for the roll out of the vaccine. We are awaiting further information but when patients become eligible for the vaccine we will make contact to offer appointments.

Mon, 16/11/20

We are pleased to announce that we have made some changes to the surgery to make the building more covid secure. There is a screen at reception and the desk in the waiting room has been blocked off.

All prescriptions are to be collected from the main reception to protect patients from weather.

Mon, 02/11/20 - Following the Prime Minister's announcement of a full lockdown in England (starting on Thursday, 05/11/20), the practice wanted to assure patients that we remain open and able to see patients where appropriate. Please note that, in line with national guidelines, the practice will continue to operate a telephone triage service for urgent on-the-day issues, as well as offering pre-booked telephone appointments for routine matters. Where a clinician feels it is appropriate, a face-to-face appointment may also be offered.
